Before you start insulating your home its a good idea to be familair with NZS4246 - New Zealand Standards - Insulating residential homes.
It does not run through every methods of installing your home but covers commonly used methods under the EECA Scheme as well as general information. Methods have been recommended around practises which are easy for most NZ insulation installers are able to correctly install without error. There are many other and sometimes more efficient ways of installation but they are not always practical for your average installer in complete therefore are omitted from the general standard. This is not to say you shouldn't use them...common sense should always prevail and any question please ask.
