These products are 90mm thick and offer better sound insulation than non sound rated products which are 90mm thick. These product are commonly used in walls and between floors. The Autex sound solution range is made from a special acoustic variant of the polyester fibre combined with product density to provide an STC reduction of 6-8 STC. Some thicker polyesters have similar or better acoustic properties than these product - please contact us for specific advise on product selection.
