The Green-Vent Solar is a solar-powered vent that is controlled using a humidistat and a thermostat to ensure it runs only when required. The vent does not require wind to operate, has a fully adjustable solar panel, is extremely quiet and will keep your home cooler in summer and drier in winter.
The Green-Vent Solar has been specifically designed for New Zealand’s climate.
During summer, the temperatures inside New Zealand homes can exceed 50°C in roof spaces, resulting in elevated temperatures as high as 30°C in living areas. During winter, the roof space temperatures can drop to 15°C, with the internal temperature dropping even lower. This is when condensation and moisture start to form. Controlled by a humidistat and a thermostat, the Green-Vent Solar will automatically switch on when the temperature in the ceiling space reaches 27°C and switch off when it reaches 25°C. It will also switch on if the roof space reaches 75% relative humidity and switch off when the roof space reaches 65% relative humidity. This will cool your home when it is warm and reduce the amount of moisture build-up in the winter. This will be beneficial to the life of your insulation and the health of your home by reducing the amount of moisture in the roof space.
The Green-Vent Solar will also reduce your power consumption by minimising the requirement for the use of cooling units in your home.

Click and Collect Option
This product can be collected (free of delivery charges) from our warehouses in Hamilton, Palmerston North or Christchurch. Please note: As this product is only held in our Hamilton Warehouse, delivery to our Palmerston North warehouse will be via internal stock transfer every two weeks, and delivery to our Christchurch warehouse will be via internal stock transfer every 4 weeks. Your collection date will be based on confirmed delivery dates into our warehouses.
Freight Charges and Delivery Information
There is a freight charge of $50.00 (inc. GST) for delivery to major North Island towns or addresses along our main trucking routes. This includes delivery to most addresses within 5 km of our main trucking routes.
Our weekly trucking routes include the following towns:
From our Hamilton warehouse: Whangarei, Auckland, Hamilton, Tauranga, Rotorua, Taupo and anywhere along the way.
From our Palmerston North warehouse (after being transferred as above): Wanganui, Taranaki, New Plymouth, Palmerston North, Masterton, Wellington, Napier, and Hastings and anywhere along the way
Fortnightly deliveries are available to Wairoa and Gisborne and anywhere along the way.
For rural Hawkes Bay customers, we offer a click-and-collect service in Napier. Please note: This will incur the standard $50 inc. GST delivery charge as the product will be ordered from our Palmerston North warehouse for you and can be collected from our Napier yard.
All other major towns not mentioned above are delivered using an external carrier directly to your town address or the carrier’s depot.
