Autex Quietstuf Sound insulation - 25m2

Autex Quietstuf is NZ's best choice for residential sound insulation. This polyester product is formaldehyde-free and made with up to 70% recycled PET (eg. recycled coke bottles)

I believe this is the best option for sound insulation and has been rated the same performance as another popular silence fibreglass insulation product (which I can't name) but is less expensive per m2. Both products will typically improve the STC value of the wall by 6-7 points. This product also has a thermal rating of R1.8 so can be used in external wall at very little extra cost to traditional polyester insulation.

Please note that sound decibal reduction is the correct way to measure a product performance as to how it reduces the sound between rooms in your home. Please be wary of sound product that claim NRC value (which relate only to echo) and no tested value's at all. If you have a specific sound problem please ask as I do a lot of sound design work in walls and ceilings and am able to offer sound advise.

Polyester is very easy to install (no respiratory and itchy side effects that some people experience with fibreglass) and staples up easily under your house. Full instructions on the packet. No experience necessary. Anyone can do it. Results are instant.

If building or renovating this product can have a huge effect on the quality of living in your new areas by reducing the noise between 2 rooms or 2 floors. Typical examples of lining internal walls are those surrounding laundries (including cupboards), toilets, television/audio between rooms, around, above/below showers. etc. Also external walls to road noise.

This product  comes in 580mm wide rolls to suit stud spacings in wall and joists spacings between floors .

This product measure 25m2 per bale.
